This is referred to as “labeling” or “marking” a component. Components that have been tested and approved by a third- party organization are said to be “listed” and “labeled”. Consequently, as the Class B operator you are required to verify that:
Documentation of compatibility is located and readily available at the UST facility.
Any component that is replaced has the required labeling or marking.
If a component does not have an appropriate label, contact the Class A operator and request that they obtain the appropriate documentation from the equipment manufacturer. Follow up with the Class A operator until the label is provided to you.
