The alarm must be readily audible or visible at the fill point, and it must alert the transfer operator when the capacity of the tank has reached 90% during the transfer process.

 

All spill containment and overfill prevention equipment must be clearly marked so that visual and audible warning and alarm signals are readily recognizable to the transfer operator.

 

All such alarm systems must be provided with a permanent and durable label or sign at the fill point that includes the following language, “NO SMOKING.”
