6.4 Develop Inspection Plan
An equipment inspection plan can help you organize what needs to be accomplished on a day-to-day, or month-to-month, or annual basis.
An inspection plan should include what to inspect, who performs inspections, and when to perform those inspections. It should also include information that describes what is considered or expected to be normal vs abnormal conditions of the equipment to be inspected.
An inspection plan should include what steps and tasks are necessary to conduct the inspections. And, it takes under consideration both the regulatory requirements of Comm 10, federal requirements (refer to 6.4 Hazardous Chemicals), nationally recognized practices such as the American Petroleum Institute’s WorkSafe Program, and other standards and practices.
